  1. Network every week, if not every day.  Conversations lighten our step and keep us engaged and up-lifted.  Who you choose to spend time with matters, so choose a forum that nurtures you and connects to your purpose… but do it! Isolation is the enemy to energy while community fuels us!
  2. Self Care.  Whether you meditate, journal, exercise, or something similar AND in any combination, do something every day that focuses you and nurtures you from the inside-out!
  3. Laugh and have fun everyday!  If you can have fun in your work or find a reason to laugh every day, the load will magically be lifted.  I think of the scene in Mary Poppins–it still makes me laugh–when the children and child-like adults in the room were floating while having tea and laughing.  We all benefit from more laughter.
  4. Establish Priorities and scrap the To Do List.  That which moves your purpose and vision forward IS a priority?  Then, ask yourself everyday “what is most important TODAY to propel my priorities forward”.
  5. Contract a Coach and/or find a healthy Sounding Board.  Whether you contract a Coach, find a Master-Mind Group or develop your own formal Advisory Council you will benefit from community.  A place where you are comfortable sharing your ideas and vision;  where you will be supported and held accountable.
  6. Hire Thoughtfully. Hiring is one of the most critical decisions you will make. You are trusting someone else with supporting and nurturing your vision.  Don’t jump into this relationship too quickly.  And, in time, people will show you who they are;  believe them!  If you have made a mistake in hiring, better to fix it sooner than later!  Everyone will be better off.
  7. Develop and nurture rituals. Our brain loves a ritual and will fall into one fairly easily so be discerning.  Intentionally choosing rituals that align with your purpose and brand will serve you very well.  Don’t be afraid to dump them if you find they don’t.  Just as in hiring:  if you have made a mistake fix it sooner than later!
  8. Keep getting to know yourself.  Your business/career is part of you!  You are complex and there is much to learn about yourself.  Keep exploring your limiting beliefs, your biases, your mindsets….every conversation, every transaction, and every margin of business growth is impacted by your own personal growth.  Worth the investment!
  9. Play…Watching a child play is fascinating.  They are reflecting how they see the world and practicing who they want to be…not right or wrong.  Play as part of every day and notice what you are learning.
  10. Be Bold! Bold shows up in different forms;  find your way to stand out and use your voice.

This is one list.  We would love to hear from you on which of these 10 landed and what additional points make your list. These are in no particular order so start experimenting with the one that first resonates with you and notice the impact it makes.
